7th, enlarged edition

Ó 1999 Verlag Stahleisen GmbH, Düsseldorf
Since the first publication in 1958, the Iron and Steel Dictionary German - English / English - German has been continually adapted to the rapid advances in the iron and steel industry. Whereas the first edition included some 7,500 German and English entries each, the seventh edition has grown to more than 20,000 terms in each language. In the mid-nineties, soon after the appearance of the sixth edition, the MyTerms PC-version of the Iron and Steel Dictionary was introduced allowing its electronic usage thus accounting for the wide-spread PC application in plants and technical offices. No matter whether you decide on the book or PC version, the new enlarged 7th edition of the dictionary has more than ever become an indispensable aid in sharing technical experience on an international level.
A great number of specialists from the industry, R & D, professional associations and administrative bodies have again contributed to the revision and extension of the terms covered by the dictionary. To all of them our heartfelt thanks.
